Ss. Andronicus and Anastasia (Antioch) Ss. Andronicus and Anastasia (Antioch) were citizens of Antioch, and sorrowful at the death of their children, they traveled to Alexandria, visited the Church of St. Menas and entered the monastic life. Andronicus went to Scetis and became a disciple of Daniel, whereas Anastasia entered the Tabennesiote Convent in Alexandria. Later, without revealing her identity, since Anastasia wore male attire, they dwelt together at the Oktokaidekaton (a monastery) outside Alexandria. After Anastasia’s death, her secret was revealed. |
