Consecration of St. Nicholas Church

His Grace is received in the back of the Church by Father Bernard Kinnick.

His Grace blesses the people.

His Grace addresses the people prior to the Consecration.

His Grace prays over the Holy Relics.

His Grace carries the Holy Relics around the Church three times.

His Grace knocks on the doors, just as it is done at Pascha.

His Grace places the names of the living and departed in a box with the Holy Relics.

His Grace places the box in the Holy Table.

His Grace, with assistance from the Priests, washes the Holy Table.

His Grace, with assistance from the Priests, drys the Holy Table.

His Grace sprinkles rose water on the Holy Table.

His Grace annoints the Holy Table with Holy Chrism.

An icon of each of the Evangelists is placed on each corner of the Holy Table.

His Grace annoints the Antimins with the Holy Chrism.

His Grace places the cloth on the Holy Table.

His Grace places the Tabernacle on the Holy Table.

His Grace annoints the walls of the Church with Holy Chrism.

Following the Consecration Service, Father Bernard served the Western Rite Liturgy.
