Antiochian Women's Executive Board Meeting
September 24, 2005
Burbank, California

The Executive Board held it's first official meeting on Saturday, September 24, 2005, at 10 a.m., at the home of President, Samia Habib.  A long list of agenda items was discussed and deliberated by the board members present, and we enjoyed good fellowship time together during lunch.

Some of the plans included the upcoming Fall Delegates Meeting in San Dimas, CA., Oct. 14-16, 2005.  Certain agenda items for that meeting were discussed and assignments given to different board members to prepare for this important weekend.  The Antiochian Women are hopeful that there will be a large number of delegates attending their meeting.  We also discussed our upcoming Spring Retreat at Camp St. Nicholas, with details to be confirmed and distributed shortly.  We voted to donate money to the Orthodox parish in New Orleans that was totally devastated by Hurricane Katrina, and we hope to do the same for any other parishes in our Archdiocese that are subsequently facing destruction.

The Board is in the process of doing several mailings for their respective positions, both generated from here, and from the NAB mailings on different areas of responsibility.  We are also looking forward to heading east in February for the Mid-Winter meeting at Antiochian Village.

Our focus this term will be visiting as many of our 53 parishes as we can and getting them involved in all of our Diocesan events and projects, thus building the Sisterhood of the Antiochian Women in our Diocese into a very spiritual and supportive organization.  We invite all women to join us in this venture as we work together to serve His Holy Vineyard.
